Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS in Baltimore seeks a meticulous technician to fabricate and repair complex composite and metal bonded assemblies. You will follow engineering drawings, prepare materials, and set up tools to achieve tight tolerances in fixtures and during bonding.

Qualifications

• Must have broad shop trade knowledge of bonding procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings, lofts, and specifications, use shop mathematics and work with precision measurement instruments.
• Export-controlled technology requires U.S. Person status or government authorization.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair complex composite and metal bonded assemblies per drawings and specifications.
• Prepare materials, molds, patterns, adhesives for molding and bonding processes.
• Lay out resin impregnated sheets on molds with complex contours to ensure gap-free laminates.
• Assemble and locate components to close tolerances, adjust assemblies in/out of fixtures to meet specs.
• Operate cranes, fork trucks, and other lifting equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in Collaborative Work Groups to meet goals.
