Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to perform chemical and mechanical processing operations used in producing aerospace turbine engine components. The role supports coating, cleaning, surface preparation, and thermal processing while ensuring quality and safety requirements are met.

3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 8:00pm-4:00am with a $3.00/hr shift differential. The position involves operating furnaces, coating systems, blasting equipment, and routine maintenance within a regulated

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Manufacturing, chemical processing, coating, heat treatment, or related industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, specifications, and procedure manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to safely work with chemicals, industrial equipment, and production machinery.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support cross-training activities.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical processing and coating operations on aerospace turbine engine components.
• Execute production processes including grit blasting, ultrasonic cleaning, thermal processing, and coating preparation activities.
• Set up, operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on furnaces, coating systems, blasting equipment, and other manufacturing machinery.
• Prepare and mix production materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor process parameters and ensure compliance with production specifications and quality standards.
• Complete process logs, travelers, and production documentation to maintain traceability.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with customer, engineering, and quality requirements.
• Follow all environmental, chemical handling, and waste disposal procedures.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
