Job summary

RPS Recruitment seeks an experienced CNC Vertical Machinist in Placentia, CA to set up and operate 3- and 4-axis vertical CNC milling machines from engineering drawings and CNC programs. You’ll adjust tooling, verify tolerances, and inspect finished components to meet strict aerospace specs.

The role offers 2nd or 3rd shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM or 9:00 PM–5:30 AM) in a stable aerospace environment with long-term progression opportunities; strong setup, alignment, and measurement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of machine shop experience.
• Strong vertical CNC milling experience.
• Hands-on CNC setup and operating experience.
• Experience with 3 or 4-axis CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Proficiency with micrometers and calipers; understanding tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3- and 4-axis vertical CNC milling machines.
• Prepare machines and tooling for scheduled production jobs.
• Read engineering blueprints and technical instructions.
• Adjust tooling and machine settings per CNC programs.
• Inspect finished components to ensure tolerances.
• Use precision measuring equipment for part quality checks.
• Maintain cleanliness, lubrication and routine inspections.
