Job summary

Tessera is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop 3–5 axis CNC programs from engineering data for aerospace components. You will use Mastercam, CATIA, and NX to interpret complex geometries and verify programs with Vericut, ensuring zero collisions and optimized cycle times.

The role emphasizes fixture design, setup documentation, and collaboration with machinists to achieve First-Time Right manufacturing. A strong GD&T background and tool-path optimization expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years CNC programming experience in aerospace/defense
• Proficient in Mastercam (Advanced Multi-Axis Mill)
• Proficient in Vericut for NC verification and machine simulation
• Proficient in CATIA V5/V6 and NX for model translation
• Deep understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
• Expert in cutting tool selection and speeds/feeds for exotic aerospace alloys
• Understanding of inspection processes per customer requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient 3–5 axis CNC programs from engineering drawings and models
• Import/analyze aerospace geometries using CATIA/NX
• Simulate/verify programs with Vericut to prevent collisions and minimize cycle times
• Design and model fixtures and tooling to improve machining efficiency
• Create complete setup sheets, tool lists, and operator instructions
• Support First-Time Right manufacturing and assist machinists on the floor
