Job summary

Votaw Precision Technologies, a leader in precision components and assemblies for aerospace and defense, seeks a CNC Programmer to translate customer requirements into NC programs using CATIA V5 and related tools. You will design NC programs, develop manufacturing plans, and support operations as a manufacturing expert on complex parts.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace manufacturing, strong CATIA V5, Vericut, and ICAM skills, and the ability to mentor shop personnel while pursuing

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Aerospace/Manufacturing or related industry.
• Two years of Technical or Trade School with appropriate certification preferred.
• Read and comprehend programming instructions, manuals and procedures.
• Basic algebra, trigonometry and geometry apply to programming and setup.
• Proficient in CATIA V5, Vericut and ICAM (post processing).
• Advanced knowledge of modern machining methods for aerospace alloys.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with planning to develop manufacturing plans for complex components and assemblies.
• Research best practices and tools for each job, regardless of materials or scope.
• Collaborate with tooling vendors and shop personnel to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
• Draft and fully dimension drawings in CATIA V5 for fixturing, shop aids, etc.
• Program complex parts for VTLs, 5-axis mills, and mill-turns in CATIA V5; Mastercam is a plus.
