Job summary

Abrasive Form, a world leader in Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine machining, seeks a Shop Supervisor for our Bloomingdale, IL facility. You will supervise the shift to ensure productivity, quality, on-time delivery and profitability, and support the Operations Manager with production data and parts handling.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of supervisory experience in CNC/machining, strong leadership, and a focus on safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience in tight tolerance production.
• Minimum 3 years CNC experience with 5 axis and/or 3 axis and surface grinding.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage shift activities to meet productivity, quality, on-time delivery and profitability goals.
• Assist Operations Manager with parts handling and production data.
• Motivate, coach, mentor and lead employees; conduct performance discussions as needed.
• Communicate production, people, or quality issues to leadership.
• Evaluate improvements to maximize profitability and throughput.
• Train employees on processes and policies.
• Troubleshoot machine/job problems and coordinate with maintenance.
• Promote safety culture and drive quality across processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
