Job summary

Amphenol Aerospace in Sidney, NY seeks a Process Technician to support machining operations across all products. You will set up, start up, run and troubleshoot both conventional and CNC machines and assist with post-machining operations.

Responsibilities include on-floor support, program creation for new products, maintaining DNC, training operators, and driving continuous improvement and cost-reduction efforts while upholding strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in machining.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and conventional machining.
• Proficient with setup and operation of CNC and conventional machines.
• Familiar with technical drawings and precision measurement devices.
• Experience with MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Daily Manufacturing floor support
• Creation of programs for new products
• Maintain DNC with proven, best practice programs.
• Provide training for Operators to run good quality parts.
• Support initiatives and training for corrective actions
• Quality and technical support to internal and external customers
• Continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
• Process troubleshooting to ensure quality product is machined.
• Complete initial set up of jobs on varying machines.
