Job summary

Ascent Aerospace is seeking a CNC Operator to work with the CNC Department Manager to set up and validate programs for 3-axis CNC machines. The role involves day-to-day NC program development and tool setup within a manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years in machining, experience with Hurco 3-axis CNCs, and strong math, GD&T, and programming skills. ITAR compliance and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years in conventional or NC machining.
• Experience with 3-axis Hurco CNC machines.
• Experience with conversational programming.
• Experience managing numerical control databases.
• Strong math skills and ability to read blueprints with GD&T.
• ITAR/U.S. Person status required.
• Export control compliance familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish NC tool setups and validate NC programs for 3-axis CNC machines.
• Operate CNC machines for tooling, details and parts.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and policies.
• Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
• Travel to other site locations may be required.
