Job summary

Comlux America, a VIP aircraft completion and refurbishment center in Indianapolis, seeks a CNC Mill Operator for second shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). You will develop and optimize CNC programs for aircraft components, collaborating with Engineering and Production to meet stringent aerospace standards.

Requirements include an Associate degree or technical certification, at least 3 years of CNC machining experience (lathe preferred) and familiarity with CAM software.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years CNC machining experience; lathe experience preferred.
• Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop machining strategies to optimize quality, efficiency, tooling utilization, and machine capacity.
• Generate setup sheets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing instructions.
• Support first article production runs and validate program performance.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and modify programs as required.
• Optimize existing programs to improve cycle times and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve manufacturability concerns.
• Maintain program revision control and documentation.
• Analyze production data to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Assist in new equipment implementation and process validation activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the CNC department.
• Ensure compliance with FAA requirements, engineering specifications, and company procedures.
