Aerotek in Torrance, CA is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC equipment, inspect parts, and ensure conformance to drawings. You will use Gibbs or similar CAM software and participate in process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC machines in a production environment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Strong understanding of close tolerances and precision machining requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment, including 3- and 5-axis machines and CNC lathes.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure consistent part quality and adherence to close tolerances.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance to keep machines in optimal operating condition.
• Inspect finished parts to verify they meet all dimensional and quality specifications.
• Support machining process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
