Job summary

Jobot in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a driven CNC Machinist for our aerospace manufacturing team. You will interpret blueprints with GD&T, operate and maintain lathes, mills, and grinders, and use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to program tool paths in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in aerospace CNC machining, strong CAD/CAM skills, sheet metal experience, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Extensive experience with CNC machine tools (lathes and mills).
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication (bending, cutting, forming).
• Strong problem-solving and quality focus.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• High school diploma required; related degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement blueprints, GD&T to produce precision parts.
• Operate and maintain CNC machines (lathe, mill, grinder).
• Use CAD/CAM to design and program tool paths (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Utilize hand tools for fabrication and assembly.
• Perform sheet metal bending, cutting, and forming.
• Inspect machinery and equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve processes and designs.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and resolve faults.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
