Job summary

Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Forge team is seeking a Machining Working Lead to guide daily machining operations and mentor machinists. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, troubleshooting manufacturing challenges and supporting continuous improvement in a safety‑driven environment.

This Weekend Day Shift position runs Fri-Sun, 7:00 am–7:00 pm, and requires ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met on high‑precision aerospace components.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily machining operations on the shop floor, acting as SME and mentoring team members.
• Manage production transactions, WIP status, and tools/supplies to maintain safe, organized operations.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and related equipment to meet aerospace part specs.
• Read blueprints and process sheets to ensure parts meet engineering specs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs to support reliable operations.
