Job summary

Automatic Products in Sumner, WA is seeking a Lathe CNC Machinist I-III for swing shift (Mon-Thu, 3:15pm-1:45am). You will set up machining centers, load programs, and inspect parts to meet aerospace-grade specifications.

Experience with CNC or manual machines, blueprints, and GD&T is required, along with strong problem-solving skills. Join a precision shop serving aerospace, space, automotive, and electronics.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC or manual machining equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges.
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets.
• Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and production issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up multiple machining centers and equipment.
• Perform machine setups, tooling selection, fixture loading, and program loading.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to verify specifications.
• Conduct first article inspections and verify parts meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Operations to support improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to machinists and operators.
