Job summary

RTX is offering a full-time co-op in Certification Engineering in Winston-Salem, NC. The program runs May through December and includes a hands-on mentorship with FAA certification processes for aircraft seats and seating components.

You will work with structural and flammability teams, gain exposure to seat testing, documentation, and TSO package preparation, and learn FAA regulations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in STEM.
• Must have a minimum of 45 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience may be obtained through coursework, research, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a full-time co-op session May/June–December, including the Fall semester.
• Support the team responsible for FAA certification of commercial aircraft seats and seating components.
• Collaborate with structural and flammability certification teams to research, plan and execute certification processes.
• Engage in seat testing, documentation, and preparation of TSO packages under FAA regulations.
