Job summary

RTX is offering a full-time co-op in the Landing Gear Stress Department in Haltom City, TX. The program runs January through July/August, spanning the spring term, with hands-on duties under close supervision of experienced engineers.

You will perform static and fatigue stress analyses, apply FEA methods, review non-conforming parts, and help update configurations. The role requires pursuing a relevant engineering degree and credits, plus experience with CAD/FEA tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and enrolled through the internship/co‑op.
• Minimum of 60 hours of credits by the start of the internship/co‑op.
• Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform static and fatigue stress analysis using classical techniques.
• Conduct static and fatigue stress analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) based techniques.
• Assist engineers with evaluations of non‑conforming parts.
• Update stress analyses to reflect current configurations.
• Write and compile stress analyses reports.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
