Job summary

The Centerless Grinder role at Jobot Consulting focuses on setting up, operating, and monitoring centerless grinding equipment to produce high-precision aerospace components. You will read blueprints, select tooling, and perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

We look for candidates with experience in centerless grinding, blueprint interpretation, and SPC-quality practices.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up centerless grinding equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, gauges).
• Knowledge of SPC and quality control processes; strong math and detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines in manual and automatic production.
• Install grinding wheels, support blades, and tooling as required.
• Perform wheel dressing, machine adjustments, and process optimization.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Monitor production quality and adjust machines as needed.
• Follow SPC procedures and maintain production records.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to meet customer requirements.
