Job summary

Jobot Consulting seeks an experienced Grinder for aerospace fasteners, capable of setting up and operating centerless grinding equipment, reading blueprints, and performing precision inspections with micrometers, calipers, and gauges. You will support quality control, SPC, and safe production practices in a 2nd shift role.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with centerless grinders, strong math skills, and the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up centerless grinding equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges.
• Knowledge of SPC and quality control processes.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines in both manual and automatic production environments.
• Select and install grinding wheels, support blades, and machine tooling as required.
• Perform wheel dressing, machine adjustments, and process optimization to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Monitor production quality and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Follow SPC procedures and maintain accurate production records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
