Job summary

Triumph Group in West Hartford, CT is seeking a Lead, Calibration to lead a 5+ person quality/calibration team in a union environment. You will oversee calibration scheduling, supplier management, and ensure ISO 10012/AS9100 compliance while driving Lean initiatives and continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in calibration/inspection, strong leadership, and experience with aerospace calibration practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, operations, or a technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a calibration/inspection environment, union leadership experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing the calibration of mechanical gauges, gauges on test stands and the systems involvement with our special processes such as heat treatment.

Responsibilities

• Hire, interview, train, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Address employee issues, takes appropriate action, rewarding and disciplining employees in accordance with Company policy.
• Supervise the union employees in the calibration area. Planning, organizing and monitoring calibration assignments.
• Ensure QMS, ISO 10012 and AS9100 compliance are maintained.
• Manage outside calibration suppliers with respect to costs, quality and delivery requirements.
• Manage the calibration database and adherence to the specifications and requirements for the industry standards.
• Troubleshoot, and resolve problems, analyze workload, establish calibration time estimates, and create production schedules that meet internal and external needs and demands.
