Job summary

Triumph Group in West Hartford, CT, seeks an Engineer, Quality 2 to lead a calibration/inspection team in a unionized, aerospace manufacturing setting. You will ensure 100% product quality, drive continuous improvement, and manage on-site calibration services with ISO 10012/AS9100 alignment.

The role requires 5+ years in calibration, strong lean/Six Sigma background, and familiarity with NADCAP/ITAR/EAR. Expect collaboration with engineering and quality staff to meet safety, quality and delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a calibration/inspection environment.
• Union leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience calibrating mechanical gauges and test stands.
• Familiarity with NADCAP requirements.
• Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export controls.
• Lean manufacturing and process improvement experience.
• Six Sigma certification or SPC experience.
• Knowledge of machining and special processes.

Responsibilities

• Hire, interview, train, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Address employee issues, enforces policy and disciplines as needed.
• Supervise calibration staff and coordinate training and workflow.
• Ensure QMS, ISO 10012 and AS9100 compliance.
• Manage calibration suppliers and calibration database.
• Troubleshoot and plan production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Interface with engineering for calibration resolutions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma.
• Develop training programs to improve employee skills.
