Job summary

EVONA in Westminster, CO is seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Engineer to join our Quality Engineering Team. You will develop, implement, and maintain calibration processes for aerospace measurement and test equipment, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on calibration, data analysis, and collaboration across departments to optimize equipment performance, support audits, and drive continuous improvements in metrology and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience in calibration, metrology, or quality engineering, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Solid understanding of metrology, GD&T, and measurement uncertainty.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, and related quality standards.
• Experience with asset management software, statistical analysis tools, and MS Office.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve calibration program meeting industry standards and requirements.
• Schedule and perform calibrations to ensure compliance and minimize downtime.
• Document calibration activities in QMS-compliant records.
• Develop calibration procedures for aerospace MTE ensuring AS9100/ISO 17025 compliance.
• Manage suppliers and evaluate vendor performance for calibration services.
• Analyze calibration data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into calibrations failures and nonconformances.
• Collaborate with departments to evaluate new calibration equipment and practices.
• Ensure timely renting or leasing of equipment to maintain productivity.
• Support audits by providing calibration records and expertise.
• Train technicians and operators in proper calibration techniques.
