Job summary

Contechs Consulting Limited is seeking a Metrology Engineer for Warsaw, Indiana, to join a growing automotive team on a contract basis. The role involves hands-on calibration, measurement, and analysis of metrology equipment in a manufacturing environment.

You will work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure measurement accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement while gaining exposure to ISO 17025 and lab processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years related engineering experience with Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with metrology software such as PolyWorks, ZEISS Inspect Pro, ATOS ScanBox is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office for data analysis.
• Willingness to learn GD&T and read technical drawings.
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support calibration, measurement, and testing of equipment using ISO 17025.
• Learn to operate and maintain metrology equipment (blue light scanners, portable arms, gauges).
• Perform routine inspections and verification activities for accuracy and reliability.
• Document calibration procedures and equipment records with attention to detail.
• Support lab operations including instrument upkeep and quality practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams.
