Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cable and Harness Technician – Level 3 for the Space Sector in Redondo Beach, CA. This 100% onsite role supports mechanical and electrical engineers in developing and testing harness assemblies and components, using detailed drawings for fabrication and test fixtures.

The candidate will perform setup, testing, troubleshooting and prototyping tasks, and must have a high school diploma with related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience.
• Experience working with Engineering drawings and written work instructions.
• Knowledge of DC harness wiring using D-Sub, Micro-D and Circular connectors.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Preferred: interpret wire lists and perform continuity checks, wire routing and dressing.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, assemble and test complete flight cable assemblies and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and prototype work.
• Analyze data and recommend modifications to components or test procedures to meet specifications.
• Other duties as assigned.
