Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Cable & Harness Electrical Engineer - Level 3/4 to join the Vehicle Engineering Directorate. You will support design, test, manufacturing, and procurement of DC and RF cable & harness assemblies from multiple suppliers, onsite.

The role requires a STEM degree with experience, and active Top Secret/SCI access. Candidates will perform analyses, prepare design data packages, and coordinate with system, subsystem, and unit engineers, with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher in a STEM field with relevant experience.
Active Top Secret clearance or SCI access eligibility.
Experience with aerospace hardware procurement and component development.
Experience with mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Define and document electrical interconnects through coordination with system, subsystem, and unit engineers.
Incorporate project flow down requirements into harness/cable design.
Prepare PDA and CDA data packages and support design reviews.
Assist in establishing harness/cable routing and segmentation.
Perform voltage drop analysis and capacitance studies.
Coordinate and document RF loss analysis.
Prepare and release equipment specifications, manufacturing drawings, and interconnect diagrams.
Prepare fuse/diode/resistor module drawings and test procedures.
Provide support to Manufacturing and Spacecraft Assembly and Test.
