Pursuit Aerospace in Newburyport, MA is seeking a Buyer II to manage purchasing of production and non-production materials for aerospace manufacturing, engineering, and R&D operations. You will coordinate PO changes, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain accurate purchasing records.

Responsibilities include supplier communications, cost reduction, and collaboration with planning, engineering, quality, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of purchasing/supply chain/manufacturing experience or 5 years of purchasing/supply chain/manufacturing experience in lieu of degree.

Aufgaben

• Order production material using ERP/MRP and reorder rules to predetermine inventory guidelines.
• Coordinate changes to purchase order quantities or delivery dates as per production plan.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of purchasing records and data.
• Issue and file/archive quotation and purchase order records.
• Update suppliers on changes to specifications and arranges for transitions.
• Identify new suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality and service.
• Address receiving, invoicing and paperwork issues promptly and drive resolution.
• Manage inventory levels to reduce stock while ensuring supply availability via lean techniques.
• Create reports for assigned commodities and support tendering requirements.
• Monitor/expedite PO requirements and maintain current commitments in system.
• Set appropriate lead times for new/existing Part Numbers in the system.
• Negotiate with suppliers to meet team goals and terms.
• Use system to receive material requirements and monitor delivery receipts.
• Visit suppliers as required and collaborate with planning, engineering, quality and operations.
• Resolve supply, quality and delivery issues with minimal supervision.
• Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
