Hytek Finishes Co. is hiring an Abrasive Blast Operator for the 3rd shift in Des Moines, WA. This full-time position involves preparing parts for surface finishes and following established procedures. Candidates must have a dependable attendance record and the ability to communicate effectively in English. The job comes with a wide range of benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, and competitive pay ranging from $22.10 to $41.10 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
• Required to participate in annual Hearing Conservation testing and Eye Exams.
• Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Shot Peen Inspectors to complete work and prioritize tasks for On-Time delivery.
• Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced operators; apply maskants as required.
• Prepare parts prior to operations; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
• Legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
• General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed.
• Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
• Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
