Job summary

Hytek Finishes is seeking an Aerospace Packager for a full-time, onsite role in Kent, WA. The position operates on a 3rd shift with training on the 1st shift and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include packaging parts processed through plating and other departments, following procedure cards, and ensuring accuracy with customer orders and drawings. The role requires attention to safety, quality, and continuous improvement participation.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Packagers to complete work and prioritize tasks for On-Time delivery.
• Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced Packagers.
• Perform Part Mark activities as required.
• Develop and understand technique cards.
• Legibly sign off on work once completed.
• General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Operate Forklift as required.
• Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
• Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
• Be familiar with the safety precautions & know how to avoid injury to personnel.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service. Be involved in Kaizen events as needed either as a participant or supporter.
• Other duties as assigned.
