Job summary

RTX is seeking students for internships in Cedar Rapids, IA to design, develop, and test avionics simulation software with Collins Avionics products. You’ll work on a scrum team, gain hands-on troubleshooting in the System Integration Laboratory, and learn to manage budget and schedules for a program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test applications to simulate the behavior of avionics sensors.
• Aid the development team in debugging to determine root cause and propose solutions.
• Effectively interacts with teammates, management, and customers.
• Support the Program Lead(s) with budget and schedule data for a Collins Avionics program.
• Work with a team of engineers to shape the avionics simulation platform.
