Job summary

Janicki Industries is a family-owned aerospace company in Washington seeking an Automation Technician for the on-site Sedro Woolley facility. You will assist with assembly, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment for aerospace projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with three to five years of specialized Electronic training after high school.
• Be capable of interpreting electrical schematics, P&ID’s, CAD, blueprint and mechanical assembly drawings.
• Must be willing to travel 25-40% of the time.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment in an industrial environment.
• Maintains inventory of consumable and repairable electrical/mechanical components for immediate installation.
• Travel to company and customer facilities, in and out of state, for short periods as projects demand.
• Be available after hours for diagnostic and repair of industrial machinery as needed.
• Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
• Comply with JI Safety, 5S and HazMat practices.
• Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
• Be punctual and maintain good attendance; this is an essential function of the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
