Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Test / Assembler I to perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and fabrication in a fast-paced production environment. You will read blueprints, use hand tools and measuring equipment, and ensure quality and safety standards.

Days at the bench will include material handling, inventory maintenance, and performing quality checks. Some travel for training may be required; role is onsite and focused on production excellence.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience in assembly/manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
• Operate hand and electrical tools to assemble components.
• Maintain inventory at workstations for efficient production.
• Perform quality checks and document defects for corrective action.
• Rework or repair assemblies to meet engineering specs.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Lift up to 25 lbs with/without accommodations.
• Stand for up to 10 hours per day.
• Be open to international travel for training.
