Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an on-site assembler for second shift in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will assemble electrical and mechanical units, boards, and components following electronic procedures.

Training on first shift precedes the transition to second shift, with potential overtime and weekend work as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma (or GED) and basic computer use skills; soldering experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is typically required; some roles accept related experience.
• Must complete two-week qualification training including soldering and assembly.
• Basic computer skills to read electronic work instructions and navigate systems.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and mechanical assemblies and circuit boards for units.
• Move, stock, and issue orders, parts and assemblies.
• Maintain records and complete paperwork.
• Handle chemicals and recycling functions per procedures.
• Follow computer-based workmanship standards and instructions.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Training on first shift for a period before transitioning to second shift.
