Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring for a 2nd shift on-site assembler to support aerospace electronics assembly in Phoenix, AZ. You will assemble/repair electronic units, identify parts, solder components, install new parts, and interpret engineering prints.

A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered and training will be provided. The role requires a HS diploma or GED with relevant experience or equivalent, with emphasis on reading schematics and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 1 year relevant experience or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Assembling/repairing a variety of electronic units using prescribed repair techniques.
• Identifying correct parts, components, wires, and other materials
• Removing suspect and failed components
• Soldering electronic components and using other hand tools
• Installing new components
• Operating assembly machines
• Measuring, mixing, and applying chemicals and adhesives
• Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, and engineering prints
• Effectively communicating work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down, engineering, maintenance)
• Utilize proficient computer skills and knowledge of office software applications.
