Job summary

General Plastics Manufacturing Company is seeking an Account Manager to sustain and grow relationships within the aerospace sector. The role emphasizes technical understanding of materials, production processes, and customer applications, while coordinating with Sales, Operations, Quality, and Finance to guide opportunities.

You will manage customer communications, respond to RFQs, and ensure timely order processing and documentation, with a focus on long-term partnerships and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong technical aptitude for material specs and production processes.
• Excellent communication with customers and internal teams.
• Problem-solving mindset for complex customer needs.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Serve as primary point of contact for assigned customers.
• Field sales calls and emails.
• Gather customer and market information.
• Manage accounts to maximize sales and profits through proactive selling.
• Ensure orders, inquiries, and documentation are processed accurately and timely.
• Assist in developing Sales Forecasts with updates from accounts.
• Qualify leads from various marketing channels in a timely manner.
• Provide product recommendations, pricing, and quotes to prospects.
• Resolve customer technical and quality complaints promptly.
• Interpret RFQs and drawings to assess manufacturing feasibility.
• Support quotation package preparation with technical and commercial strategy.
• Engage in continuous improvement and related duties.
