Job summary

Safran Defense & Space, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to join the accounting team in the United States. You will handle a variety of accounting functions, work under minimal supervision, and contribute to cost, budgeting, and reporting activities for programs and products.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, at least three years’ experience, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and excellent Excel skills. US citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• ERP experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

Responsibilities

• Understand financial transactions and statements.
• Support monthly close per GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Handle various invoicing activities.
• Contribute to internal controls improvements.
• Assist in forecasts and annual budget."
• Create/distribute internal cost and profitability reports.
