Qualifications

• PhD studies underway; first year must be completed by July 2027.
• Pursuing a PhD in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Fluid Dynamics.
• Ability to work full-time for 10–12 weeks during Summer 2027.
• CFD applications and code development experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team or individually.
• Background in scientific programming and code development (C, FORTRAN, and/or C++).

Responsibilities

• Develop aerodynamic analysis and optimization tools to improve fidelity and reduce cycle time and cost.
• Collaborate with CFD partner teams in Seattle and St Louis to enable laminar-turbulent transition prediction.
