The intern will join the Composite Materials & Structures team, focusing on advanced materials, processing, and manufacturing techniques for aerospace structures, under mentors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• GRP students must have completed their first year of PhD by July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support development and documentation of engineering requirements and process controls for composites.
• Assist experimental research involving characterization, processing, and testing of advanced composites.
• Contribute to evaluating and integrating manufacturing technologies including automation and additive manufacturing.
• Participate in failure analysis and define corrective actions for materials and processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, design, supply chain and suppliers to optimize composites.
• Support supplier qualification, including testing and audits related to materials.
• Document experimental data, prepare technical reports, and assist with presentations.
