Job summary

Varda Space Industries in El Segundo, CA, invites interns to join the aerodynamic team for the summer. You will run CFD simulations, support wind tunnel campaigns, and help extend vehicle payload capabilities for commercial customers.

This on-site internship is open to undergraduates or graduates; active enrollment required. Compensation includes $33/hour, housing stipend, commuter benefits, and relocation support for interns.

Qualifications

• Thermodynamics coursework
• Numerical Methods coursework
• Programming in Python and/or MATLAB
• Experience running CFD tools
• Experience with Linux-based systems

Responsibilities

• Run CFD simulations to analyze vehicle performance
• Support wind tunnel testing campaigns and post-processing of data
• Collaborate with engineers to assess aerodynamic loads and thermal environments
• Contribute to vehicle design improvements based on simulation and test data
