Job summary

Boeing invites PhD-focused students to join the Graduate Researcher Program (GRP) in Engineering & Technology Innovation for the Summer of 2027. This 10-12 week internship blends real-world industry work with development programming, exposing interns to Boeing, its products, and people.

Candidates should have completed at least the first year of their PhD by July 2027 and be prepared for a 100% onsite experience.

Qualifications

• Completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2027.
• Able to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Math, Software Engineering or similar.
• Experience preparing data for, developing, and evaluating learned models.
• Experience with programming languages and data tools such as Python, Matlab, C++, C or Java as well as SQL, Teradata, Tableau, Gephi or Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Work on AI software engineering projects within Boeing's GRP.
• Collaborate with distributed teams on research and prototype development.
• Present findings and contribute to real-world aerospace challenges.
