Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, invites applications for a summer Aero Thermal Fluid Intern in the Engine Design & System Integration discipline at East Hartford. The role emphasizes integration of complex engine systems and multidisciplinary analysis of air systems.

You will collaborate with module centers, perform flow and bearing-load analyses, and support engine tests. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in aerospace engineering and systems integration within RTX.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session
• Experience with one or more of the following: Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Computational Fluids Dynamics
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Responsibilities

• Perform internal air system flow and bearing load analysis
• Support engine test and validation of air system predictions
• Perform trade studies
• Work with the module center ATS practitioners to incorporate their models in the engine system model
