Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney unit seeks a Hot Section Engineering Intern to join a multidisciplinary team in Jupiter, FL. You’ll contribute to diffuser cases, combustors, turbines, and fuel systems across military, commercial, and industrial engine models.

You will perform strength and optimization analyses, plan tests, and support field investigations while coordinating with vendors for hardware procurement and data reduction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions for durability, performance, cost and weight.
• Perform strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance analyses using FEA.
• Plan and cover validation testing (engine & rig) and data reduction.
• Support production and in-service field investigations.
• Develop task plans and coordinate with vendors on hardware procurement.
