Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineer at Level 2/3 to join the Performance Analysis team. You will develop complex models for launcher systems, perform test data analysis, and document results for internal and external customers. Onsite work four days a week is required and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline with 2+ years of modeling/simulation experience or a Master’s with no experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (C/C++, Python, MATLAB or FORTRAN).
• Strong writing skills for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop physics-based models, heat transfer, hydraulic, and structural performance assessment models for missile launching systems.
• Perform test data analysis for missile launch and shock tests.
• Document results through technical reports, publications, and presentations; communicate with internal/external customers.
