Job summary

FiberTel, LLC is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman for our Reno, NV location. The role involves building new aerial plant from make ready prints and installing/repairing aerial telecom cable while using lashers, climbing hooks and bucket trucks.

We offer health benefits and 401k, with CDL preferred and higher wages for CDL holders. This full-time hourly position requires labor in outdoor conditions and willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver's license or willingness to obtain required license.
• Class A CDL required.
• Good driving record.
• Operate utility trucks and hand tools safely.
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work aloft up to 40 ft.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
• Safely use hand tools and equipment (wrenches, drills, ladders, lashers, climbing hooks).
• Safely operate bucket trucks, digger derrick, excavators.
• Set up safety perimeter with signage, cones, barriers.
• Flag traffic when required and follow safety rules.
• Understand separation and clearance regulations.
• Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations.
