Job summary

FiberTel, LLC. is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman for our San Jose, CA location. You will install and repair aerial telecommunications cable, use a range of hand tools, and operate bucket trucks and other mechanized equipment.

The role requires safety awareness, physical strength, and the ability to work aloft, with pay between $35 and $45 per hour, DOE, and full-time hours. Benefits include health, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Possess a valid driver’s license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.
• Able to lift/carry 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs as needed with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
• Safely use hand tools and equipment (wrenches, drills, ladders, etc.).
• Safely operate mechanized equipment (bucket trucks, digger derrick, excavators).
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and barriers.
• Flag traffic when required.
• Understand separation and clearance regulations.
• Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations.
