Job summary

FiberTel, LLC is seeking an Aerial Lineman for our Albuquerque, NM location. The role involves installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cables, climbing poles, and operating bucket trucks and other equipment.

You must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, hold a Class A CDL, and be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Responsibilities include installing cables, ensuring safety protocols, reading prints/maps, and coordinating with crews.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain required license.
• Good driving record.
• Basic knowledge of operating various utility trucks and hand tools safely.
• Class A CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, linters, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more.
• Safely operate bucket trucks, digger derrick, excavators and other equipment.
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers.
• Flag traffic when required and understand separation and clearance regulations.
• Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders up to 40 feet.
• Flexible to work in multiple locations.
