Job summary

Future, a Primoris Company, is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman for our Texas operations. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead lines, poles, and transformers, with responsibilities on heights and in varying weather.

You will troubleshoot faults, operate bucket trucks, and train junior crew members while upholding strict safety standards. Candidates should have 3–5 years of field experience, a valid Class A CDL, and ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Aerial Lineman.
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical theory, safety practices, and utility construction standards.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, climbing poles, and performing strenuous manual labor.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead electrical power lines, poles, transformers, and related equipment.
• Work from heights on utility poles, aerial lifts, and elevated structures with safety protocols.
• String and sag wire, install crossarms, insulators, and line hardware.
• Troubleshoot electrical system malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Work with conductors including copper, aluminum, and fiber optic cables.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other utility vehicles.
• Follow OSHA regulations and industry safety practices.
• Participate in emergency call-out rotations and outages responses.
• Mentor and train less experienced crew members.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and the public.
