Location: This work will be located 100% on-site in cities or towns in Lancaster County.

Compensation: Pay range is $30.00 to $44.00 per hour, union with excellent benefits including 401k & PTO. Overtime is available, not guaranteed.

Job Type: Full-time hourly non-exempt.

Job Overview

We're seeking skilled line foremen to help build and maintain new outside plant telecom fiber networks. Personal Gaffs are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, remove, maintain, relocate, and repair aerial and underground fiber optic cables and other telecommunication lines and hardware.
• Inspect, monitor, test, and adjust telecommunication transmission lines and systems.
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures or confined spaces.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.
• Ensure work meets industry standards, is reliable, timely, and cost-efficient.
• Support line crews during all construction phases.
• Coordinate with team members to prepare and complete work assignments.
• Record crew production and time using an iPad.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a small crew foreman with knowledge of safety violations and power space issues.
• Experience setting poles with digger trucks and using cable placer trucks for strand, copper, and fiber cables.
• Ability to climb poles to cable height using pole climber gaffs.
• Ability to pull and lash fiber.
• Willingness to perform manual labor, work in tight spaces, and on uneven ground.
• Ability to operate hand tools, equipment, and climbing gear safely.
• Experience operating mechanized equipment like bucket trucks.
• Must be able to work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders, and work on poles up to 40 feet high.
• Availability for overtime, travel, and work in all weather conditions.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE at all times.
• Fluent in English.
• Possession and maintenance of a CDL A driver’s license, a clean MVR, and passing a DOT physical.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, with ongoing random testing and MVR checks.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to lift, reach, dig, and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
• Visual abilities including close, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights.
• Ability to operate a vehicle safely.
• Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to move within the work environment as needed.
