What you'll do...

We are seeking a detail-oriented, driven, and resourceful Microgrid Mechanical Technician responsible for maintaining multiple Microgrid generators. The ideal candidate will have experience in power generation equipment maintenance, with electrical experience as a plus. The technician will coordinate with Area Managers to ensure generators are maintained, serviced, and operational to meet customer demands for on-demand electricity. This position is remote in the Dallas area and reports to the Area Manager.

You'll make an impact by:

• Performing skilled repairs on Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L), Marathon generator ends, and various voltage control and synchronization equipment.
• Learning and utilizing manufacturer-specific software for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Providing technical support and liaising with equipment manufacturers.
• Performing scheduled, preventive, or predictive maintenance tasks.
• Performing troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conducting periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Working in confined areas with high heat, humidity, or cold.
• Following company processes for communication.
• Using current technology for documentation and research.
• Ensuring safe operation of electrical equipment according to standards.
• Safely operating and maintaining company vehicles.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

You'll excel if you have:

• Experience with Volvo Penta Diesel Engines
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

What you'll need:

• At least 3 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience
• Preferred education: college or equivalent training (e.g., military)
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely and pass MVR checks
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Computer skills for using software, databases, and systems
• Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for hours, climb ladders, and lift 50 lbs safely
• Integrity to work efficiently with or without supervision
