Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Florida is seeking a Bucket Operator to assist with clearing and removing trees along power lines and rights-of-way. You will operate an aerial bucket truck to access branches near energized lines and help ensure reliable electric service.

This full-time, non-exempt role involves coordinating with customers, maintaining safety, training new crew members, and complying with all safety rules. A valid driver's license is required and pre-employment checks are possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of related industry experience required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permission from property owners to trim or remove trees or perform other work on the property.
• Arranges with customer or property owner to obtain access, advises of interruption and explains work to be done.
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations and professional conduct of crew.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, and markers to protect people and property.
• Operates and services equipment including bucket trucks, power tools, saws, and sprayers.
• Operates a Bucket near energized lines to remove branches and material.
• Performs tree and bucket rescue and debris disposal.
• Trains new personnel.
