Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Bucket Operator in Florida to assist with clearing and removal of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. You will operate an aerial bucket truck to reach branches interfering with lines and ensure safety of crews and the public.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, and a willingness to work outdoors in all conditions. Training and ongoing safety programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be familiar with the electrical hazard.
• Possesses working knowledge and can identify tree and shrub species.
• Work demands physical energy, twisting, some lifting ability, and hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permission from property owners to trim or remove trees or perform other work.
• Advises of interruption, explains work to be done to customers.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective work and crew behavior.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers to protect workers and public.
• Responsible for quality and safety of production while clearing trees and brush near lines.
• Operates and services equipment such as buckets, saws, sprayers, chippers.
• Operates a Bucket near energized lines to remove branches.
• Performs tree and bucket rescue.
• Uses hand tools like axes, pruners, and lines.
• Cleans up and disposes of debris.
• Trains new personnel.
