Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Palatka, FL is seeking a Bucket Operator to assist with clearing trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. You will operate an aerial bucket truck to reach branches interfering with energized lines while prioritizing safety and efficient work.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work with a crew, and adherence to safety procedures. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of related industry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with electrical hazard.
• Know and can identify tree and shrub species.
• Physical work; lifting and hand-eye coordination.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of related industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permission to trim or remove trees and coordinate access with property owners.
• Maintains customer relations and crew behavior.
• Cooperates with police and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc.
• Operates and services equipment including buckets and power tools.
• Operates Bucket near energized lines to remove branches.
• Performs tree and bucket rescue.
• Trains new personnel.

Education
