Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Bucket Operator to assist with clearing and removing trees along power lines and right-of-ways. You will operate an aerial lift device (bucket truck) to reach branches interfering with electric lines.

This full-time, non-exempt position involves coordinating crew work, obtaining property access, and ensuring safety around energized lines. Pre-employment drug/background checks may apply, with competitive hourly pay and benefits vary by location.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards.
• Able to identify tree and shrub species.
• Physical energy and manual dexterity required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permission from property owners to trim or remove trees or perform work on property.
• Maintains customer relations through effective job execution and crew behavior.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Sets up barriers, signs, and markers for safety.
• Operates and services equipment (bucket trucks, tools, saws) and performs bucket operations near energized lines.
• Performs tree and bucket rescues; trains new personnel.
